Qdos Entertainment plc
Chaired by Nick Thomas, the company he created in 1986 is now one of the largest, broad-based entertainment Groups in the UK. Focussed on family entertainment and traditional values, the Group has grown both organically and through a steady 'buy & build' strategy focusing on businesses that complement the original model, managed by a coherent holding company.
The Chairman and his supporting key management proactively manage each of the Group’s four divisions strategically and day to day. The company has four main trading divisions:
Qdos Content Division
Qdos is the world's largest pantomime producer. John Barrowman, Joe Pasquale, Craig Revel Horwood and Brian Conley are amongst the high profile celebrities who will appear in the company’s twenty-one productions.
Production facilities are based in Scarborough where a team of carpenters, painters and wardrobe staff create and maintain spectacular stage sets and over 100,000 costumes.

Qdos also produces lavish 'own-brand' production shows for US based Celebrity Cruises.
Qdos is also the largest provider of leisure sector entertainment and related services in the UK through its subsidiary The Entertainment Department (UK) Ltd – TED. The company delivers a 'turn-key' service from concept through development to delivery of staff, performers, production shows, training programmes, audio visual provision. TED clients include Thomson Gold, Thomson Sensatori, Park Resorts and Parkdean Holidays.
Qdos Talent Division
Includes three separately branded talent agencies.

Qdos Venues & Hospitality Division
HQ Theatres Ltd the UK’s second largest privately owned regional theatre operator. The portfolio includes Cliffs Pavilion Southend, The Palace Theatre Westcliff, The Swan Theatre High Wycombe, The Wyvern Theatre Swindon, The Beck Theatre Hayes, The White Rock Theatre Hastings and The Orchard Theatre Dartford. HQ Theatres manages a year round programme of popular entertainment in its venues.
HQ Hospitality Ltd, the commercial catering company services HQ Theatres banqueting, restaurants, bars and outside catering needs.
Design, Print & Media Division
Adverset Media Solutions provides design, new media and printing services to the group and a wide range of external commercial clients.
Business Locations
The Talent, Content and Venues & Hospitality divisions operate from central London and Luton.
The group’s main administration centre is in Scarborough, with theatre productions facilities in nearby Beverley. Qdos Entertainment has 600 full time employees.
Nick Thomas
Chairman – Qdos Entertainment plc
Nick Thomas started his theatre production business in 1982. By 1998, he had established himself as the world’s leading producer of pantomimes and a major leading talent manager.
Over the subsequent years Nick has built Qdos Entertainment plc into one of the largest entertainment Groups in Europe, specialising in venue management, contract catering, live entertainment production and talent management.
In December 2008, Nick was accredited by The Stage newspaper as one of the 'Top 10 Most Influential Figures of the Decade' in Entertainment. Nick is married with two daughters aged 17 and 22. He has homes in Central London and North Yorkshire.
